About this tool
Photos quietly carry EXIF metadata: the camera and lens, exposure settings, the date taken, and often the exact GPS coordinates where the shot was captured. This tool reads all of it so you can see what you'd be sharing, and lets you download a stripped copy with every trace of metadata removed.
Reading uses the exifr library from a CDN; stripping is done by re-encoding through a canvas. Your image never leaves your browser — ideal before posting photos publicly.
