Does this tool upload my photos?

No. All editing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and WebAssembly. Your images never leave your device.

What file formats are supported?

You can open PNG, JPG, GIF (first frame), BMP, WEBP, and SVG files up to 5 MB. PDF files are rendered as images (page 1).

Why is there a 5 MB file size limit?

Browser memory limits make editing very large files slow or unstable. For files over 5 MB, use the Image Converter tool to compress first, then return here.

How does background removal work?

Background removal uses an AI model (@imgly/background-removal) that runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. The ~40 MB model is downloaded once and cached — your image never leaves your device.
