About BMR & TDEE

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the energy your body burns at complete rest. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) multiplies that by an activity factor to estimate the calories you burn in a typical day — your maintenance calories. Eat below it to lose weight, above it to gain. This uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the most accurate common formula.
